Begin with a real gap

Read a role description and choose one concept that you cannot yet explain clearly. Turn it into a question: what does this measure describe, how does this setting affect the work, or what evidence would help assess a change? A specific question gives your reading a purpose.

Use primary sources

Google’s Skillshop Google Ads learning resources offer platform education. Official help documentation is useful when you need the current description of a feature. Check the scope of a resource rather than assuming that every article applies to every campaign.

Try a bounded exercise

Use a fictional brief or an environment where you have permission to work. Describe the starting point, perform a small task and record what you noticed. Do not experiment with a live account simply to create a portfolio example without the account owner’s authorisation.

Explain it in plain language

Write a short explanation for someone outside the discipline. If it relies on several unexplained abbreviations, revise it. Being able to say why a concept matters can reveal gaps that a familiar-looking interface does not.

Keep the claim proportionate

Completing a lesson is evidence of study, not proof that you can handle every situation. Describe what you practised and what you still need to learn. Skillshop information checked 29 October 2026; Dulavero does not award qualifications or guarantee employment.
